Tips for Streaming (Devices, equipment, etc)

Use a modern smartphone (iOS or Android) with a full battery. A tripod or stable mount is strongly recommended for best results. Position the camera at center ice/court with a clear, unobstructed - with a view of all 4 corners of the surface, if possible.

Do I need Wi-Fi?

Wi-Fi is recommended, but not required. You can stream over cellular data; however, a strong and stable connection will produce better video quality and fewer interruptions.

How are Highlights Generated?

Highlights are created automatically when a game is streamed live AND scored live. Goals are clipped in real time as the scorekeeper records them - no extra steps required. They will appear on the game and player profiles during, or immediately following the game. Reach out to your officials to request live scoring as needed.

How do I Share this Livestream?

When a stream starts, team members and followers receive an automatic notification. Anyone can watch by opening the game page (live or post-game), or by following the team in the app. Videographers can share a link directly from the live recording screen without interruption.

Will video be saved for playback later?

Yes. All streamed games are available for on-demand playback after the game ends, subject to subscription access and storage limits.

Can I Stream on other devices?

Currently, streaming is supported directly from a mobile device using the SportNinja app. Support for external cameras and RTMP-based devices (such as Pixellot) is coming soon. Email us to request a specific device or service.
